I’ve successfully started a validation/best practices consulting business. I’m currently insured to $1M E&O and have most recently been accepted as a University of California approved vendor. I’m always interested in new projects and can be reached at the email above.
Most recently, I’ve developed and executed successful validation of Quality Management System (QMS) software for a wide range of FDA regulated clients and regulated industries. My 10+ years of experience within pharma, biotech, R&D laboratories, blood centers, and hospitals allows me to understand the requirements of the clients from a Quality perspective. I’ve worked within QC, QA, R&D, Lab Management, Program Analytics, and Validation Consulting. I am familiar with many laboratory methods and instruments as well as quality requirements and processes. The clients and companies I’ve worked for range from large pharmaceutical companies to small biotech startups, from medical device to blood banks, and from multi-million dollar product manufactures to academic, non-profit research labs.
My most recent validation activities have been validating Quality management Systems. I’ve developed and optimized ELISA assays for automation (TECAN) including full method and HW/SW validation.
Throughout my career, I’ve strived for a best practices and quality approach to all my endeavors. I firmly believe that this is not only the correct path to follow, but ultimately will provide the best possible outcome for the patient and company.
Through this blog, I explore the intersection of Quality and Validation. I examine the experiences I’ve had within the field as a validation consultant, current regulations that impact quality and validation, current industry thinking, and a ‘best practices’ approach to correctly performing validation including what to watch out for from vendors/consultants.
